A classically trained soprano, I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and sang opera professionally. Unfortunately, operatic heroines often come to bad ends. My heroines get to live AND keep the guy! What a nice change!
I grew up in Iowa, but my husband and I have lived in 9 different states. Currently, I call New England home. Wherever I happen to be, that’s my favorite. Long ago I heard someone say, “If you ain’t where you are, you’re no place.” The sentiment stuck.
